Saturday 26 September, 10am–4pm at Showroom Workstation. Browse work from 65 independent makers across two floors, including ceramics, jewellery, textiles, print, homeware and more. Standard entry £2; ages 18 and under free.

Saturday 26 September, 10am–5pm on the Fresh Food Floor at Darley Street Market. Browse organic apples, apple juice, chutneys and jams from Bowling Park Community Orchard and get free fruit-growing advice. Free entry.

Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September around Masham Market Place. This volunteer-run rural fair features sheep showing and racing, wool crafts, stalls, demonstrations, family entertainment and plenty of sheep-themed fun. Entry is free and the event raises money for Yorkshire charities.

Step back into the 1940s with living history camps, vintage vehicles, period entertainment and displays.

Saturday 26 September, 2pm. Wrongsemble brings a bold, funny family adaptation of Bethan Woollvin's Rapunzel to Pocklington Arts Centre, packed with music, magic and madcap schemes. Tickets listed at £10, £12 and £39.

Saturday 26 September, 8pm. Scottish folk quartet FARA bring three fiddles, piano, vocals and energetic arrangements rooted in the music of Orkney and Assynt to Hutton Rudby Village Hall. Standard tickets £20.

Sunday 27 September, 11am–1pm at Wakefield Exchange. Meet artist Helen Thomas and find out more about her series of giclée prints inspired by wild plants and organisms in Wakefield city centre. Free; no booking required.

Sunday 27 September, 5.30pm at Hull Ice Arena. The Trojan Hull Seahawks host Telford Tigers in an NIHL National Cup ice hockey fixture, with the Seahawks promising fast, family-friendly entertainment on home ice.

An autumn tour exploring the darker history and ghost stories of Temple Newsam.

A free family and heritage open day marking Southwood's 85th anniversary, with guided building tours, children's activities, refreshments and the chance to meet local Freemasons and learn about the charities they support. Runs 10am–2pm.
