York Food & Drink Festival 2026
Parliament Street and St Sampson's Square, York
18–27 September 2026. Food market 10am–5pm; demonstrations noon–5pm; bars 11am–9pm (5pm on the final day). Markets and demonstrations are free; individual tastings, workshops and dinners have separate prices. Independent food producers, cookery and family activities in York.

Plant Sale at York Museum Gardens

Saturday 26 September, 10.30am–3pm outside the Yorkshire Museum in York Museum Gardens. The final plant sale of the year offers the chance to take home plants connected with the gardens while supporting the work of York Museums Trust.

The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Festival
Monk Park Farm, Bagby, Thirsk
Monk Park Farm’s 2026 October festival combines its huge pumpkin patch with farm admission, entertainment, carnival games, pumpkin carving, animals and family activities. Runs on selected dates from 3–31 October; booking is recommended and admission charges apply.

Back to the 1940s at Eden Camp
Eden Camp Modern History Museum, Malton
A two-day living-history weekend with re-enactors, immersive museum displays, live music, vintage stalls and a Saturday evening dance. Online day tickets start at £17 for adults and £15 for children; under-5s and carers accompanying a full-price ticket are free.

Masham Sheep Fair 2026
Masham Market Place, Masham, Ripon
Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September around Masham Market Place. This volunteer-run rural fair features sheep showing and racing, wool crafts, stalls, demonstrations, family entertainment and plenty of sheep-themed fun. Entry is free and the event raises money for Yorkshire charities.
