Turn a walk into an investigation with The White Shire Mystery Walks.

Our interactive mystery walks take you around real Yorkshire villages, towns and countryside while you follow a fictional investigation. Along the way, you’ll visit a series of stops, solve clues hidden in your surroundings and gradually eliminate suspects and pieces of evidence.

Get to the end with the right suspect and the right piece of evidence remaining, and you’ve cracked the case.

There’s nothing to print and nothing to collect. The mystery runs on your phone, so all you need is a charged mobile, comfortable footwear and your powers of deduction.

How Our Mystery Walks Work

Choose a mystery below and head to the starting point.

Follow the directions to each stop → investigate your surroundings → solve the clue → eliminate a suspect or piece of evidence → continue to the next stop.

Your eliminations are saved as you make your way around the trail, helping you narrow down the possibilities.

At the end of the walk, use what remains to identify the culprit and the evidence that gives them away.

The Case of the Wrecked Pram Race Cart

Something has gone badly wrong in Ackworth.

Dicky Sykes, Beverley Arms and Dan Doway were preparing their cart for the annual Ackworth Pram Race when disaster struck — their prized creation was deliberately destroyed beyond repair.

Inspectors Hugh Dunnit and Sue Them have been called in to investigate.

Follow their trail through Ackworth, solve the clues at each stop and eliminate the innocent suspects and misleading evidence.

By the end of the investigation, just one suspect and one crucial piece of evidence should remain.
