Our growing collection of personally walked and recorded routes takes you through countryside, villages, woodland, waterways and historic landscapes across East Yorkshire.

From quieter local routes to walks along the coast and through some of the region's best-known landscapes, each walk gives you an opportunity to discover somewhere interesting and experience the character of the area for yourself.

East Yorkshire has a varied landscape, from the Yorkshire Wolds and open countryside to rivers, waterways, villages and the Yorkshire Coast.

Our walks are chosen because they offer something interesting along the way, whether that's a beautiful landscape, an historic building, an unusual landmark or a story connected to the area.

Personally Walked and Recorded

Where we feature a route that we have walked ourselves, we walk the route, take our own photographs and record it using GPS.

Our guides provide practical route information and, where available, a link to follow the walk using Komoot.

Walks With a Story

We believe a walk is more interesting when you know something about the landscape around you.

Where possible, our guides include the history and stories behind the places you encounter along the route.

We're not trying to compete with established walking websites covering Yorkshire's biggest destinations and long-distance routes.
