The White Shire's What's On section brings together interesting events and things happening across West, North, East and South Yorkshire.

We're not trying to compete with the large event websites or simply list every major festival in the county. Instead, we're interested in discovering the events that give Yorkshire its character — from village fairs and local markets to food festivals, heritage events, exhibitions, family activities, independent events and unusual things to do.

Some events may be large and well known. Others may be small local events that you would never know about unless you lived nearby.

The White Shire doesn't need to compete with them.

We're interested in the events that can be easily overlooked.
