The Case of the Missing Hoard Ring

The Pontefract Museum has lent the famous Ackworth Hoard to the village for one
week only.

But this morning, disaster struck. The treasured gold ring engraved with the words
'When this you see, remember me' has vanished from its display case.

The museum has warned that unless the ring is found by sunset, the entire hoard will
be taken away and may never return to Ackworth.

There are no signs of a break-in and no forced entry. This means the ring was
almost certainly taken by someone attending the village celebration.

Inspectors Hugh Dunnit and Sue Them have been called in to investigate. They have
identified several suspects, but everyone insists they are innocent.
