Henshaws Christmas Craft Fair and Fun Day – Knaresborough

Henshaws Christmas Craft Fair and Fun Day – Knaresborough

Christmas is starting to take shape across Yorkshire, and one local event worth putting in the diary is the Henshaws Christmas Craft Fair and Fun Day in Knaresborough on Saturday 21 November 2026.

Held at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre on Bond End, the day brings together artisan gifts, festive food, creative activities and family entertainment in a setting that supports the charity’s work with people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities.

We’ve also added the event to The White Shire’s North Yorkshire What’s On guide, helping more people discover local community events alongside Yorkshire’s larger Christmas attractions.

Christmas Shopping with a Local Difference

The craft fair will feature artisan stalls and handcrafted Christmas gifts, giving visitors the chance to pick up something a little different while supporting makers and the work of Henshaws. Festive food and mulled wine will also be available during the day, adding to the Christmas atmosphere.

Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre is a social enterprise as well as a creative hub. Its shop sells work made at the centre, including cards, ceramics, jewellery, bags, bird boxes and artwork, so the event is a good opportunity to find locally made gifts while supporting a Yorkshire charity.

Santa, Wreath Making and Festive Crafts

There is plenty for families too. Santa’s Grotto costs £5, giving children the chance to meet Mr and Mrs Claus and receive an early Christmas present.

The Junk to Jingle Bauble Workshop costs £3 and gives children the chance to make a Christmas decoration from upcycled materials. For adults wanting to get creative, wreath-making sessions are available from £25 to £30.

That mix of shopping, crafts and family activities makes this more than a straightforward Christmas market. It is the kind of smaller local event we particularly like to highlight on The White Shire because it brings together community, creativity and a worthwhile cause.
