3.55mi Sherburn in Elmet Circular Walk Sherburn in Elmet Circular Walk – Easy 3.55-Mile Route Me and Lyn did this Sherburn in Elmet Circular Walk at the end of August. It’s an easy 3.55-mile circular route with only around 175 feet of climbing, so it’s a good option if you want a walk that doesn’t involve too much effort. There is quite a bit of road walking on this one, including a short section on a busy road. That’s probably the main thing to know before choosing the route

Our Selby Circular Walk is an easy 4.86-mile route combining a pleasant stretch alongside the Selby Canal with good surfaced paths and roadside pavements on the return into Selby. The first part of the walk follows the canal on good paths before the route leaves the water and continues mainly alongside roads, again using good surfaced paths and pavements.

The Hambleton Circular Walk is an easy 3.22-mile route near Selby in North Yorkshire. Explore peaceful countryside, quiet country lanes and the wooded slopes of Hambleton Hough, a distinctive Triassic sandstone hill shaped by millions of years of geological and glacial history. We walked the route with our 10-year-old grandson Ally, who particularly enjoyed discovering the rope swing in the woodland, making this a lovely option for a family countryside outing.

Looking for a nice easy circular walk in North Yorkshire? This 4.14-mile Welburn Circular Walk explores the countryside surrounding the attractive village of Welburn, close to Castle Howard and the beautiful Howardian Hills. Lyn and I personally walked, photographed and GPS recorded this route for The White Shire. We found it to be a nice, easy and enjoyable countryside walk – ideal if you're looking for a relatively short route without anything too demanding.
