The Plough Inn, Hayton
A Stay at The Plough Inn, Hayton
A Surprising First Impression
On our recent visit to East Yorkshire, our friends booked us into The Plough Inn in Hayton, around three miles from Pocklington. As they had arranged the accommodation, Lyn and I had no idea what to expect until we arrived.
Our first impression was slightly unusual. From the outside, The Plough Inn appeared to be more of a Chinese restaurant and takeaway than a hotel. Once we checked in and saw the accommodation, however, we were pleasantly surprised.
Comfortable Rooms at The Plough Inn
The rooms were lovely and very comfortable, providing everything we needed for our stay. After our initial surprise on arrival, we quickly settled in and found it a welcoming place to spend the night.
There is free parking on site, which makes The Plough Inn a convenient base for anyone travelling by car and exploring more of East Yorkshire.
A Bar and Chinese Restaurant on Site
The Plough Inn has its own bar, so there is somewhere to relax with a drink without having to travel elsewhere.
Guests can also eat in the Chinese restaurant on site. This makes the accommodation particularly convenient if you want an evening meal close to your room after a day spent exploring the surrounding area.
Visiting Pocklington from Hayton
Hayton is around three miles from Pocklington. We decided to take a taxi into town and back, which was an easy and convenient option.
