Our Visit to Castle Keep Tea Room, Middleham – Coffee Beside the Castle
Mick and I called into Castle Keep Tea Room while exploring Middleham and discovered a lovely, cosy spot for coffee beside the castle. Here's what we thought, what the tea room serves and details of its separate B&B accommodation.

Collab. Coffee, Ackworth
Lyn and I called into Collab. Coffee in Ackworth one Sunday morning and were really pleased we did.
It’s a lovely little independent coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and very good coffee. It felt welcoming from the moment we walked in and was exactly the sort of local place we like finding for The White Shire.

Hawkcliffe Farm Produce
Hawkcliffe Farm Produce is a family farm shop in Steeton, West Yorkshire, bringing together farm-reared beef, Yorkshire meats and local produce at the Meat & Tatie Shed.
We met Sarah at the Keighley Agricultural Show on Saturday, where she told us about everything they have been doing with their farm shop.

The Mill Cullingworth
There are two things almost guaranteed to make us stop while exploring Yorkshire: an old mill and somewhere serving coffee. At Cullingworth Mills, happily, you get both.
Lyn and I had been looking around Cullingworth Mills, exploring the antiques, vintage furniture and all the unusual things tucked away inside the old building. Afterwards, we called into The Mill Cullingworth for a coffee and a sandwich.

Cullingworth Mills
We discovered Cullingworth Mills while walking our Harden Circular Walk and couldn't resist going inside. This historic West Yorkshire mill is now home to more than 100 antiques, vintage and independent dealers, with The Mill Cullingworth café providing the perfect place for a coffee afterwards. With free parking, fascinating industrial history and Goit Stock Waterfall nearby, it's a lovely Yorkshire discovery.

Violet’s Cafe Selby – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Selby
We came across Violet’s Cafe while doing our Selby Circular Walk and stopped for a coffee. Tucked away on Market Lane in the centre of Selby, it turned out to be a lovely little find and exactly the sort of independent Yorkshire business we like discovering while we're out and about.

Digby's Café
Looking for somewhere different to eat near Selby? Digby’s Café at Sherburn Airfield combines homemade food, coffee, outdoor seating, a children's play area and fantastic views across the airfield. We visited with our grandson Ally, who loved watching the aircraft and was lucky enough to see a helicopter take off close by. It’s a great stop for families, aircraft enthusiasts or anyone looking for a café with a difference.
